Pinnacle Expands to North Fulton County in Atlanta

Pinnacle Financial Partners is expanding its reach to North Fulton County in Atlanta. The firm has hired a team of associates to establish a presence there to serve North Fulton, Gwinnett and Forsyth County clients. They are available now in a temporary space at 11720 Amber Park in Alpharetta, GA, until a permanent, full-service location is established as early as this summer.

Heading up the North Fulton team is banking veteran Scott Jordan, who joined Pinnacle as an area manager. He leads a team of commercial financial advisors throughout the market. Other new Pinnacle associates brought onboard for the North Fulton office are:

  • Rose Sharif, office leader
  • Brandon Odum, financial advisor
  • Hans Gamlien, credit advisor
  • Darlene Walters, financial advisor assistant

Cheryl Dougherty, treasury management analyst, who joined Pinnacle at the Atlanta Riverwood office in December 2020, is moving to the North Fulton office and will continue to provide treasury management services to clients throughout the region.

“Pinnacle had big plans for Atlanta when we started here two years ago, and we’ve been consistently recruiting the best bankers and adding locations ever since,” said Rob Garcia, Pinnacle’s Atlanta regional president. “With the addition of this team, we now serve clients across the metro area with operations in the Cobb, Buckhead and North Fulton areas.”

Jordan brings 23 years of financial services experience to his role at Pinnacle, most recently as market president of Northeast Metro Atlanta for Truist (formerly BB&T). During his 21-year tenure at BB&T, he also served as market president for Metro Atlanta and North Metro Atlanta.

Jordan earned his bachelor’s degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and graduate banking degree from Louisiana State University. He serves on the boards of Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia and the Forsyth Chamber of Commerce. Jordan is a Member of the Partnership Gwinnett 4.0 Leadership Council and the Rotary Club of Gwinnett County. He is an alumnus of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Gwinnett, Leadership Forsyth and Leadership North Fulton.

Sharif joined Pinnacle from Ameris Bank, bringing 30 years of financial services experience to her role. In addition to her experience as branch sales manager for Ameris, she served seven years at First Citizens Bank in Alpharetta. Other prior experience includes roles at Bank of America in Atlanta and Suntrust Bank and Wachovia in Roswell. Sharif earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Mary’s Dominican College in New Orleans.

Odum joins Pinnacle with 10 years of financial services experience, most recently as a commercial banker at Truist. Prior to that he worked at State Bank and Trust Company in several roles, including portfolio manager, credit services manager and credit analyst. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

Odum is active in the North Fulton and Gwinnett County communities, serving as chair of the City of Duluth Urban Redevelopment Agency and vice chair of the City of Duluth Finance Committee. He is sponsor chair of the Duluth Fall Festival and finance committee chair of University Yacht Club. In addition, Odum serves as membership and program chair of the Rotary Club of Sugarloaf.

Gamlien brings 33 years of financial services experience to his role at Pinnacle. He joined the firm last month from Truist, where he was a portfolio manager on the bank’s middle market team. Gamlien has also worked for BB&T, Wachovia Bank and First Union National Bank, as well as Union Bank of Switzerland in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Hofstra University in Long Island, NY, and a master’s degree in finance from Florida International University in Miami.

Walters served as a business services assistant for commercial lending at Truist/BB&T for 23 years before joining Pinnacle.

Dougherty joined Pinnacle from Synovus Bank, where she was a senior commercial payments products analyst. She has 26 years of financial services experience, including roles in treasury management and deposit operations at Bank of North Georgia.
