Pinnacle Financial Partners Expands Richmond Team with Veteran Financial Professionals
Pinnacle Financial Partners has added three experienced financial professionals to its growing team in Richmond. Jen Melton, John Clark and Jason Wood have joined the firm, bringing decades of industry knowledge and community relationships to support clients across Central Virginia.

Melton serves as area manager for retail and small business banking, leading Pinnacle’s efforts to deliver distinctive service and effective advice throughout the Central Virginia. She brings more than 20 years of experience in retail banking and business development, most recently serving as senior vice president for M&T Bank. A graduate of Towson University, Melton has held leadership roles on several nonprofit boards including roles as board advisor and former board president of the Hanover Education Foundation and board treasurer of the Historic Polegreen Church Foundation.
Clark joins Pinnacle as a credit advisor, contributing extensive experience in middle market and business banking. A former Richmond resident based in Winston-Salem; he exclusively supports our Richmond office as they continue building the Pinnacle brand in Central Virginia. He previously spent more than a decade in credit roles with Wells Fargo, supporting the Richmond market where he built deep relationships and a strong understanding of the local market. A native of North Carolina, John also spent time in credit roles with Bank of America and Sun Trust Bank (now Truist) prior to his move to Richmond. Clark is a graduate of UNC Wilmington.
Wood joins Pinnacle as a credit advisor. He has more than 20 years of experience in banking, including leadership roles at SunTrust Bank (now Truist) and First Market Bank (now Atlantic Union). A graduate of the University of Richmond, Jason has been in the Richmond area for 25 years and is an active volunteer in the greater Richmond community.
