Pinnacle is Still a Best Place to Work in Virginia

Pinnacle Financial Partners continues to be one of the best places to work in all of Virginia. For the second year in a row, the firm is the top-ranked among banks and credit unions on a list of Best Places to Work from Virginia Business magazine. Pinnacle earned the No. 11 spot in the large companies category.

“Some may think of best workplace awards only in terms of how an employer treats its associates, and that’s a big part of it, of course.” said David Allen, Pinnacle’s regional president in Western Virginia. “But the special sauce for Pinnacle is how associates treat each other and the high priority they place on their own contribution to a great work environment. Our clients can see it. They’ve pointed out that it makes a difference in the experience they get in our offices. That can’t happen without the deliberate effort of every associate, and I thank them for their commitment to our culture.”

The Best Places to Work in Virginia list seeks to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Virginia who benefit the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Businesses from across the state entered the two-part survey process that determines the ranking. The first part evaluated workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second looked at the employee experience with anonymous surveys distributed to all Pinnacle associates in the state. The list was compiled and managed by Best Companies Group.

“Pinnacle has a 95 percent retention rate companywide, which is unheard of in the financial services industry,” Allen said. “This means we have folks here who have been with the firm for many years, some for several years and some who are new. That diversity of tenure across the footprint also helps maintain the continuity of the magic in our culture. The spark stays alive.”

This is the second time Pinnacle has won a workplace award in Virginia.
