Pinnacle is the No. 1 Workplace in the Triangle
Pinnacle Financial Partners is No. 1 among Best Places to Work in the Triangle. The Triangle Business Journal announced the ranking today, with Pinnacle placing first in the large companies category. This is the second consecutive year the firm has earned the top spot.
“It’s always an honor to hear our associates say they love working here, and even more so to see it backed up by independent research,” said Mark Carlton, Pinnacle’s regional president in Eastern North Carolina. “Our associates are the ones who put in the hard work to make awards like this possible. They make this a special place to work unlike any other, and they make sure clients feel the impact of our passion and our culture.”
Pinnacle associates in the Triangle have consistently given their workplace culture high marks. Associates had this to say on the anonymous survey this year:
“The grass truly is greener here. No red tape, no micro-managing, just the freedom to do my job unrestricted. This is more motivating than any carrot or stick scheme I've ever been a part of.”
“Management is always looking to support our employees and improve our work environment. They encourage a team-oriented approach to our goals and recognize those employees regularly that have contributed to our success. Overall, this is the best place I have worked at in many years.”
“Seeing leadership at a group hot yoga and then a local economic summit shows me each teammate is important. I know if I have an idea or challenge, I can reach out to a regional leader and be heard.”
The firm’s vision from day one has been to be the best financial services firm and the best place to work in the Southeast, and that’s only possible when associates are fully engaged in making it a reality.
“Pinnacle was founded with this very goal in mind,” said Natanya Chadwick, area manager for Pinnacle. “In fact, being the best place to work was in our company’s vision statement from the beginning. We couldn’t fulfill that goal without our entire team’s full commitment to creating an engaging workplace. This designation reinforces how important our efforts are in keeping our culture unique and special.”
The Best Places to Work list is based on third-party research from Quantum Workplace, a leading employee engagement firm. Quantum sends anonymous surveys to employees with closed and open-ended questions on culture, camaraderie, leadership transparency and other criteria. Scores from these surveys determine the final rankings and awards.
The Triangle is a metropolitan area in the Piedmont region of North Carolina in the United States, anchored by three major research universities: North Carolina State University, Duke University, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, located in the cities of Raleigh and Durham and the town of Chapel Hill, respectively.
