In a dramatic come-from-behind victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge, Russell Henley claimed his sixth career PGA TOUR win, representing the Pinnacle Financial Partners name in style. His win gives all of us a reason to be proud.

After falling five shots off the lead on the front nine, Henley’s resilience and determination were on full display as he staged a late charge. He birdied the final three holes to force a sudden-death playoff before sealing the win with a 5-foot putt.

“It’s hard to believe I’m sitting here,” said the 37-year-old Henley in his press conference. "I just kept telling myself, I want to win. I want to be here. I want to be hitting these putts and be in contention."

With a game built on precision and efficiency, Henley this week ranked first in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green; first in driving accuracy; first in proximity to the hole; and second in Strokes Gained: Approach to the Green.

Henley, with the win, rose to No. 11 in the FedEx Cup standings and catapulted to No. 5 (from No. 11) in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), reinforcing his position among the game’s elite. Dating to 2023, his strong play has led to an ascension on the OWGR (from 24th to his current rank).

Since joining Pinnacle Financial Partners (formerly under Synovus) in 2023, the 2010 Haskins Award Winner (most outstanding collegiate golfer) has padded his resume by tying for fourth in the 2024 FedEx Cup standings; winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational last year; and finishing runner-up at the season-ending 2025 TOUR championship before notching a seventh-place showing in the FedEx Cup standings.

Additionally, Henley earned his way onto the 2024 U.S. Presidents Cup squad and 2025 USA Ryder Cup team.
