Team Knoxville Wins Top Workplace for the Fifth Time in Six Years
The Knoxville News Sentinel announced the list of Top Workplaces, and Pinnacle Financial Partners is still the No. 1 workplace in the midsize business category – a position they have earned for five out of six years. Pinnacle also received the Direction Award for survey responses to “I believe the company is going in the right direction.”
A record 85 companies participated in the process this year, with 55 businesses recognized. Eighteen midsize businesses were ranked.
“Our culture is really quite unique, especially compared to our competitors,” said Mike DiStefano, the firm’s regional president for Knoxville. “Our founders set out to make Pinnacle the favorite workplace of experienced financial services professionals, with a level playing field where all associates are helping each other succeed instead of an ‘each person for themselves’ atmosphere. That’s what I witness every day here in Knoxville. Everyone’s pulling toward the same firmwide goals. If Pinnacle reaches them, every single associate receives the incentive pay. Clients naturally benefit because our retention rate is 93.7 percent, and happy associates tend to go out of their way to help clients, too.”
The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LCC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few.
With 130 employees in Knoxville, the company received praise from employees for its positive work culture, long-term employment retention and flat organizational structure.
Earlier in 2022, Pinnacle was named the overall No. 28 Best Company to Work For in the United States and No. 4 on the list of Best Workplaces for Millennials. In 2021, Pinnacle ranked No. 8 on their list of the top financial services firms to work for.
