Pinnacle Financial Partners has added a new area executive to help lead its client advisory team in Charlotte. Greg Wilcox is based at the firm’s Refinery office and brings more than 30 years of financial experience to his role. He will lead relationship strategies for commercial clients throughout the Carolinas.
“Greg is a highly respected leader with deep roots in the Charlotte business community,” said Rob Ellenburg, regional chairman. “He knows what it takes to lead high-performing teams and consistently deliver exceptional results for clients. He’s a perfect fit for Pinnacle’s relationship-driven approach, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Previously, Wilcox held leadership roles at PNC Bank and Fifth Third Bank, overseeing commercial banking teams and delivering consistent top-tier production results. He began his banking career at Wachovia Securities after a stint as a professional baseball player with the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte. Wilcox is also a licensed Series 7 and 63 professional and a graduate of Leadership Charlotte.
Active in the community, he has served on the boards of the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, the British American Business Council and Myers Park Trinity Little League. He has also volunteered with Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte and as a coach for multiple youth sports leagues.
