Renda J. Burkhart
Ms. Burkhart retired as a Private Client Partner in Forvis Mazars in May 2024 and now focuses her energies on leadership formation, governance and selective advisory roles. She enjoyed a 40-year history of founding and leading Burkhart & Company, P.C., a Knoxville-based public accounting firm that offered financial advisory, accounting and tax services to ultra-high net worth families and their enterprises.
Her legacy firm integrated into the DHG in 2021 prior to additional combinations that led to the formation of Forvis Mazars, a global professional services network. Early in her career, Ms. Burkhart worked for another top-tier international CPA firm focusing on clients across Tennessee. She also co-founded Concorde Technologies, Inc. which developed integrated information technologies in select vertical markets serving a national footprint.
Through the years, Ms. Burkhart has served on numerous boards of public and private foundations, non-profit organizations, and closely held businesses. She currently serves as Board Chair of University Health Systems, Inc., a 21-county regional network of health care providers including its flagship hospital, the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Ms. Burkhart is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of CPAs. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Accounting-Management Science.
