Aaron Butner

Aaron Butner is Pinnacle’s area manager for client services on the Coast of South Carolina.

Butner joined Pinnacle in 2020, bringing 19 years of financial services with BB&T in North Carolina and South Carolina. Most recently he served as retail area leader for Truist in Charleston, SC and Philadelphia, PA. While working as a bank manager in the Upstate of South Carolina, he was also youth minister and music director for Lakeview Baptist Church for four years.

Butner earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Brookhaven Baptist College and graduated from The BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University. Just prior to college, he completed a Cross Cultural & Missions Studies Certificate at the Macedonia Baptist Seminary in Arequipa, Peru. Butner is currently enrolled & attending Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business Executive Leader Program.

Butner currently serves the Town of Mount Pleasant on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Butner is on the Credit Committee for the South Carolina Banker’s Association and works with the Regional Policy Committee for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Butner also serves on the following boards: Housing For All – Mount Pleasant and Why Not Charleston.

Butner has previously served on the Town of Hillsborough, NC, Water & Sewer Board as well as the Economic Development & Public Policy Committee of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce in Chapel Hill, NC.
