Charissa Sumerlin
Charissa Sumerlin is Pinnacle's deputy chief credit officer. She is based at the firm’s downtown Nashville office at Symphony Place.
Sumerlin joined Pinnacle as a credit advisor in 2018 focused primarily on commercial real estate. Now as deputy chief credit officer, she leads projects related to credit rating and risk. Sumerlin began her career in 2002 at SunTrust Bank in Atlanta. She spent the last decade at BB&T, where she held various roles including relationship manager, credit advisor, team lead and regional credit officer.
Sumerlin earned her bachelor’s degree in business at Michigan State University and her MBA at Georgia State University. She is a member of the Risk Management Association and earned the Credit Risk Certification Designation.
