Small Business Scam Solicitation
USA Today recently reported on an increase in small business scam solicitations.
Fraud and scams come in a variety of forms, some even through the US Postal Service. Recently, crooks are resorting to posing as the government, requesting documentation and forms from small businesses and a $125 "processing fee" along with your business information.
Please be aware of such scams and always separately validate the correct government office, contacts and any actual required documentation through an appropriate official government source. Typically, government sites will end in .gov and in Tennessee will likely be part of the tn.gov state website or related city or county official websites.
You can report postal scams received via US Postal Mail through https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/contactus/filecomplaint.aspx
