Amy Farrar, J.D., CTFA serves as a Trust & Wealth Advisor and Fiduciary Counsel in Middle Tennessee.
Amy brings over twenty years of industry experience to each client interaction, offering practical advice regarding estate and trust law, asset protection planning, business succession planning, charitable giving, and complex legal and financial strategies for individuals and institutions.
Prior to joining Pinnacle in 2022, Amy spent seventeen years in the private practice of law. Farrar began her legal career as a law clerk for Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Cornelia A. Clark and then spent six years at an esteemed Nashville law firm before founding her own law firm in 2012.
Amy’s experience as a practicing attorney informs her ability to assist clients with a tailored plan that is well thought out and strategic. Farrar enjoys really getting to know each client and their unique needs, to help clients create a plan to achieve their personal, financial, business, charitable and familial goals.
Farrar is a cum laude graduate of both Wake Forest University (B.A., 2000) and the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D., 2005). She also holds a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the American Bankers Association.
Farrar is a respected leader in the legal field. She regularly presents Estate Planning, Trust and Elder Law seminars to attorneys across Tennessee, and she serves on the Board of Directors of both the Estate Planning Council of Middle Tennessee and the Murfreesboro Estate Planning Council. Farrar has been named a Mid-South SuperLawyers “Rising Star” in the legal field for six consecutive years, and she has served as an adjunct professor of business law at Middle Tennessee State University.
Farrar was recently appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to serve on the Tennessee Commission for Continuing Legal Education, which oversees the education of legal professionals in Tennessee. She also serves on the Legislative Committee for the Tennessee Banker’s Association.
Farrar is also actively involved in her community, founding the Middle Tennessee Lawyer’s Association for Women and serving as a Ruling Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro, on the Executive Board of Directors for the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring Children’s Museum, and as a past Board Member of the Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club. Farrar also currently serves on the Executive Board for the Charity Circle of Murfreesboro and as a Trustee of First Presbyterian Church. Farrar serves as the Treasurer for the Middle Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women. Farrar is an active member of the Tennessee bar.
