Pinnacle is the No. 1 Workplace in Every Major Market in North Carolina
Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 1 best place to work in every major market in North Carolina, having earned the top spot this week in Charlotte on a list of midsize Top Workplaces from The Charlotte Observer. The midsize category includes businesses with 150 to 499 employees. It is Pinnacle’s third time to be featured on the list, earning the No. 2 spot for midsize companies in 2020. This makes for a clean sweep of workplace awards in North Carolina markets. Earlier this year, the firm was named the No. 1 workplace in the Triad region of North Carolina and the No. 1 Top Workplace in the Triangle, among many others across the footprint.
Pinnacle Opens Full-service Office in Buckhead
Pinnacle Financial Partners has opened its second full-service office in Atlanta at 3379 Peachtree Rd. NE in Buckhead, offering a diverse array of services for personal finance, small business, commercial and wealth management needs. Experienced office leader Jerry Banks leads the Buckhead team, which includes financial advisor Aaron Binion, client service advisor Christina Herron, mortgage advisor Jennifer Sampson, mortgage advisor assistant Tasha Ellis, and financial specialists Sheryle Kelley and Donovan Dillard.

The latest list of Best Banks to Work For from American Banker magazine ranks Pinnacle No. 9 among 90, with no other banks of similar asset size appearing on the list. This is the firm’s ninth consecutive appearance.
Scott Bendure Joins Pinnacle as Financial Advisor and Area Manager
Scott Bendure has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a financial advisor and area manager for the firm’s client advisory group in Memphis, along with are financial advisors Travis Hughes and Kim Weaver. All are based at the firm’s main Memphis office at 949 S. Shady Grove Rd. Financial advisor assistant Chris Baumgardner also joined the Shady Grove office team.

Pinnacle Asset Management’s Brock Kidd is the No. 1 financial consultant in the nation among the Financial Institutions Division of Raymond James Financial Services. He earned this distinction for having the highest total dollar amount of assets under management at more than $700 million. Kidd is also ranked No. 25 among Raymond James Financial Services internationally and was named to the company’s Chairman’s Council** for the fifth consecutive year.

Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 1 SBA lender in Tennessee for 2021, having issued $57.2 million in SBA loans during the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2021, an increase of 92.7 percent from 2020. According to data released by the Small Business Administration, Pinnacle made 46 SBA loans in the state with an average amount of $1.2 million during that period, exclusive of Paycheck Protection Program loans.

Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 3 SBA lender in North Carolina for 2021, having issued $65.3 million in SBA loans during the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2021, an increase of 70.2 percent over its 2020 total. According to data released by the Small Business Administration, Pinnacle made 55 SBA loans in the state with an average amount of $1.2 million during that period, exclusive of Paycheck Protection Program loans.

Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 2 SBA lender in South Carolina for 2021, having issued $40.7 million in SBA loans during the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2021. According to data released by the Small Business Administration, Pinnacle made 29 SBA loans in the state with an average amount of $1.4 million during that period, exclusive of Paycheck Protection Program loans.
PNFP Reports Diluted EPS of $1.75, ROAA of 1.47% and ROTCE of 16.98% for 3Q2021
Pinnacle Financial Partners, Inc. reported net income per diluted common share of $1.75 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2021, compared to net income per diluted common share of $1.42 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2020, an increase of approximately 23.2 percent. Excluding ORE expense for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2021 and 2020 and gains and losses on the sale of investment securities and FHLB restructuring charges for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2020, net income per diluted common share was $1.75 for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2021, compared to $1.45 for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2020, a year-over-year increase of 20.7 percent.
Pinnacle Recruits 7 for Atlanta Riverwood
Pinnacle Financial Partners has hired seven new associates for its Atlanta Riverwood office in a variety of roles. Veteran financial services professionals Richard Carswell and Heidi Nelson have joined the team as a financial advisors. Carswell has 15 years of experience, most recently as a middle market banker for Truist in Atlanta. Prior roles with Truist, formerly BB&T, include regional corporate banker and market president for Southwest Atlanta. He earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Georgia. In addition, Tanya Armstead and Sonya Julius have joined Pinnacle as financial advisor assistants. Salwa Williams joins the firm as a credit advisor, and Kyle Karempelis is a credit analyst. Rounding out the new hires is Shelia McPherson, a treasury management analyst.
