Commercial Banker Chris Rutledge Joins Pinnacle
Pinnacle Financial Partners welcomed longtime SunTrust Bank (now Truist) commercial banker Chris Rutledge to the Chattanooga team. He is located at the Broad Street office. Across 26 years at SunTrust in Chattanooga, Rutledge served as a portfolio manager, commercial banker and senior credit officer. He also covered specialty sectors including nonprofit, government, healthcare, schools and universities, and senior housing.
Pinnacle Growing Team and Office Network in Atlanta
Pinnacle Financial Partners continues to grow in Atlanta, adding to its team and its office network. The firm will soon begin construction on a new full-service office in Buckhead, marking Pinnacle’s first Atlanta expansion outside its flagship office in Riverwood. Pinnacle has also hired three veteran financial advisors to grow its commercial banking team, with Martin Small, Bobby Oliver and Aaron Binion recently joining the firm.
Pinnacle's Michael Corbett Named to Captive Insurance Hall of Fame
Pinnacle Financial Partners captive insurance advisor Michael Corbett has been named to the Captive Review Hall of Fame, an honor given to only a few captive professionals worldwide each year. It “celebrate[s] the most influential individuals, who have contributed to the industry for decades and without whom the industry would not be where it is today,” according to the publishers of Captive Review, a London-based magazine for the global risk management and captive insurance community.

For a third year in a row, Pinnacle Financial Partners has been named the No. 1 Best Place to Work in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The Triad Business Journal announced the ranking today, among companies with 300+ associates, in the culmination of its annual competition to find the region’s top workplaces. This is the third year in a row Pinnacle has earned the top spot on the list, and one of many local workplace awards the firm has won in North Carolina.
Pinnacle Opens New Office in Gallatin
Pinnacle Financial Partners opened its new Gallatin office May 5 at 1534 Noah Lane in Greensboro Village. This is the firm’s first new full-service location in the Nashville area in 11 years and its 28th office in Middle Tennessee.
Pinnacle Loans $26.7 Million to Companies in Virginia During Round Two of the Paycheck Protection Program
In the second round of Paycheck Protection Program lending, Pinnacle Financial Partners made 242 loans worth $26.7 million to local businesses in need in the Roanoke Valley and Lynchburg. Added together with first round lending, the firm issued nearly 736 PPP loans worth more than $131.5 million in the market. For context, Pinnacle’s local loan growth in all of 2019 was $65.6 million.
Pinnacle Loans $77.6 Million to Chattanooga Area Companies in Round Two of the Paycheck Protection Program
In the second round of Paycheck Protection Program lending, Pinnacle Financial Partners made 605 loans worth $77.6 million to local businesses in need across the Chattanooga area. Added together with first round lending, the firm issued nearly 1,766 PPP loans worth more than $279.9 million in the market. For context, Pinnacle’s local loan growth in all of 2019 was $159.2 million.

In the second round of Paycheck Protection Program lending, Pinnacle Financial Partners made 567 loans worth $88.8 million to local businesses in need across the Knoxville area. Added together with first round lending, the firm issued nearly 1,662 PPP loans worth more than $330 million in the market. For context, Pinnacle’s local loan growth in all of 2019 was $216.8 million.
Pinnacle Loans $42.7 Million to Memphis Area Companies in Round Two of the Paycheck Protection Program
In the second round of Paycheck Protection Program lending, Pinnacle Financial Partners made 530 loans worth $47.2 million to local businesses in need across the Memphis area. Added together with first round lending, the firm issued 1,171 PPP loans worth more than $160.6 million in the market. For context, Pinnacle’s local loan growth in all of 2019 was $332.6 million.
