Pinnacle Financial Partners grew local deposits to $973.0 million in western Virginia, as of June 30, 2022, up from $803.9 million one year prior for a growth rate of 21.03 percent. According to data from the FDIC, the firm saw significant growth in each of the two MSAs that make up the market.
Pinnacle Financial Partners Grows Chattanooga Deposits by $213.8 Million, Increases Market Share to More Than 10%
Pinnacle grew local deposits in the Chattanooga MSA by $213.8 million in the 12 months ended June 30, 2022, for a total of $1.6 billion, a growth rate of 15.71 percent and 10.30 percent of total market share. The firm is still the fourth biggest bank in the market, according to FDIC data, and also grew deposits by $10.3 million in the Cleveland MSA to $310.6 million for a total of $1.9 billion in the Chattanooga/Southeast Tennessee market as a whole.

Walt Cherry and Mike Mezza have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as managing directors for capital markets to lead and expand the firm’s interest rate derivatives program. Both veteran financial services professionals will help Pinnacle’s commercial and middle market clients manage interest rate risk. They are based at the Atlanta Riverwood office.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle announced the ranking this week in the culmination of its annual competition to find the region’s top workplaces. This is the first year the firm has earned the top spot on the list. Last year, Pinnacle came in at No. 15 for its first time in the competition.
Pinnacle Grows Knoxville Team With the Addition of Two Financial Services Experts
Veteran banking leader Andy Beam has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a senior lending officer in Knoxville, bringing 26 years of industry knowledge and experience. He will manage the client advisory group, which focuses on serving the needs of the bank’s commercial and corporate clients. Also joining the firm is Lisa Ailor, a financial advisor assistant with 29 years of experience. Both are based at Pinnacle’s Northshore Drive office.

Pinnacle Financial Partners Expands to Louisville with Regional President Tom Crockett
Pinnacle Financial Partners has hired veteran banking leader Tom Crockett as regional president to build a presence its newest market, Louisville, KY. Crockett joins the firm from Old National Bank, where he was responsible for the development of expansion markets, and previously served as the market executive and regional manager of Kentucky banking at Wells Fargo. He will work from a temporary office, with plans for a permanent space in late 2022 or early 2023 and Pinnacle’s first full-service office in Louisville sometime in 2023.
